Join us for our Evening EAT Meeting Tomorrow, Wednesday August 30th from 6:00PM-8:30PM!

The August EAT Meeting will be held at the Street Jones Building, 1000 East 11th St, Suite #120, 4th Floor, Conference Rm 400A.

 

We are excited to have you for our in-person August EAT meeting! Please join us Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 6pm to 8:30pm. We'll connect over a delicious dinner and get our meeting started by 6:30pm.

This month, we will be joined by Sue Spears, President of the Bethany Cemetery Association, to discuss it's history, cultural significance of the cemetery, and recent development threats to the cemetery that is the resting place of many formerly enslaved persons and buffalo soldiers. Read more about the Bethany Cemetery by clicking the button below! We are also reserving time for review of the city's passed budget.

 

We will also be playing jams to commemorate the 50th anniversary of hip hop's creation, recognizing its profound expression, impact, and cultural significance within communities of color.

 

Accessibility:

There are ramps both in the front and back entrance of the building.

Back parking garage door does NOT have an ADA button to open the door. The front door on E 11th Street does have an ADA button, and there is a ramped walkway that connects the parking lot to the front entrance. Please see below photo for further clarification.

To get to the fourth floor, you can use the elevators. There are no steps to the entrance or in front of our office door.

Parking:

Guests can park in the lot attached to the Street-Jones building by turning north on Waller Street and then immediately turning left into the parking lot. You will need to scan the QR code provided in this event listing to validate your parking. We'll also have a printed QR code available at the meeting, but please have your license plate number handy to complete the process.
