EAT Update: Heat Advisory & Cooling Center 
Dear EAT Family, 
 
Please share with your community that The National Weather Service has released an extended Heat Advisory beginning today (June 14, 2023) at 1:00PM and extending until tomorrow (June 15, 2023) at 8:00PM. Temperatures and Heat Index remains high as we go into the weekend.

It is advised to take precautions to protect from the heat including drinking water, taking frequent breaks, wearing protective clothing, and staying inside (if possible).

 
Due to extreme heat, all Austin Park Facilities and Austin Public Library branches can serve as a Cooling Centers during normal operating hours. Service animals are permitted in City facilities.
