The Equity Office logo and tagline
Good morning Equity Action Team,

You'll notice things look a little different! Beginning today, the Office will be using an actual newsletter/contact management software to communicate. As someone who has spent a number of frustrated afternoons laying out these updates in Outlook, I am thrilled by this change.

More than that, though, this is the first step for us in working to deliver on a broad ambition to better communicate to, and develop with the EAT network. These updates will continue in this format, so keep sending items for distribution, but send them to equity@austintexas.gov.

This also means we will have a few new updates that will go out, less for information sharing, and more as a space to reflect, and share either what we've been working on, or what we're seeing that needs attention, or more direct ways for you all to get involved, organize and help us work toward an equitable Austin, one in which race no longer predicts quality of life outcomes.

As a quick update, the meeting date for November has been set for Friday, November 20th. I will get a calendar invite out to you all next week.

Also, applications are still open for another week for the Reimagining Public Safety Grants! Find more information at this link.

See below for a few updates from EAT members!
