FMCSA’s Training Provider Registry Page is Live

Courtesy of ATA

Last month, FMCSA unveiled the new Training Provider Registry (TPR) webpage, which contains information to help training providers prepare for the February 7, 2022 implementation of the Entry-Level Driving Training (ELDT) rule. The TPR contains information on eligibility, tips to help providers prepare for the Registry to open this summer, and a comprehensive ELDT Checklist and curricula overview. Once the online interface is fully in place, the TPR will allow training providers to self-certify they meet the training requirements and store ELDT certification information and transmit it to the State Driver Licensing Agencies.

OSHA Announces Revised COVID Guidance for Employers

Courtesy of ATA

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) released revised guidance recommending all employers in non-healthcare-related industries implement a COVID-19 prevention program in the workplace.

Key components of the OSHA prevention program include recommendations that employers: conduct a hazard assessment; identify and implement measures that limit the spread of COVID-19; adopt measures that workers who are infected or potentially infected are separated and sent home; and implement protections from retaliation for workers who raise COVID-19 concerns.
