Good day
What a difference a week makes as schools close and supermarket empty in the face of the realisation that virus crisis may well affect us. I am lucky since my office is at home my only need to go out is daily trips to the Post Office and to buy food. Yet again though I have been truly humbled by the kindness of my neighbours who, as I am in the vulnerable category, have without prompting, set up a system to make the daily trips to the Post Office for me and given me instructions to just email a list of any requirements I may have and they will get them for me. Truly amazing generosity! It reminded me very much of the spirit of late 1940s and early 50s when none of us had very much but seemed happy to share what little we did have.
Anyway this is newsletter is supposed to be a commercial rendering so back to the matter in hand. I had in a nice West Indies collection with its main strength in Jamaica from some: earlier items up to about the late 1960. I have listed all those. Also, I had a whole load of British Africa items. widespread across most of Africa but strongest in South Africa with some nice pre Union issues right up to and including South Africa Homelands. Plus about 200 top ups. All worth a peek!
