Good day
As always over these difficult times most important is to wish you and yours health and protection.
In common with thousands of others, I too exit my home on Thursday evenings at 8 pm to applaud all those on the front line of our protection. I have always been a great fan of the postal services and believe it one of the most under rated services in society today. Whilst I can't deny that electronic mail is faster it seems almost magical that one can drop a letter in a local post box, and it can be delivered almost anywhere in the world in a matter of days. Most of the worlds Postal services are famous for getting things delivered and continue to work through war and pestileance. So hats off to all those thousands, for the main part anonymus, workers involved.
Just before I move on to the commercial offerings I have to advise you that, in the light of the current situation I am making a slight policy change as follows:. It's always been my practice, at no additional charge to clients, to ship all orders over GB£50 by Certified Mail. Since losses in either the Certified or Regular mail services are virtually: non-existent, its more for client confidence than security. However, many of the worlds Postal Services, in the current situation, are not requiring signatures and confirm the delivery by: Deliverance Confirmation or request the recipient to collect. Also, it creates a weakness in our own isolation as Regular mail can be slipped into the Post Box whilst Certified mail is over the counter. For the last three weeks I have been batch shipping Certified mail but that does slow the process. So as from Monday I am suspending shipment by Certified mail. Larger orders will be split and shipped in lower value packets by regular mail.
I still clear orders daily although I think mail is bound to be a bit slower than we have all been used to. I hope that's not too much of an inconvenience?
I have this week, as last, concentrated my efforts on a broad range of lower priced items. As last week the range is pretty widely spread. There is a nice run of Barbados and Nigeria including North and South Nigeria and Lagos. I have put pictorial links to British West Indies and to the Main Index and Yellow Text links to some of the main areas with top ups but a look in your favourite region could well reward.
