Community of ChristChurch Easter Celebration: Celebrate Resurrection!

Saturday, April 16th, 7pm at Shepherd of the Valley

Livestream YouTube link

This year continues to bring us new opportunities along with new challenges.

How wonderful that after two years, we can finally gather in person for our Easter Resurrection Celebration! And, how strange it is that to make this possible, we will be celebrating the resurrection on the eve of Easter Sunday.

As the shadows lengthen and the sky grows darker on Holy Saturday, let us gather to hear the Good News story of Mary Magdalene coming to the tomb “while it was still dark.” (John 20:1)

There will be no Zoom worship on Sunday, April 17th. We will return to Zoom worship on April 24th at 9:30am.

Share your Easter Sunday plans
Since our Easter celebration occurs on Saturday evening this year, how do you plan to spend your time on Easter Sunday morning? We would love to know!

Please consider sending your response to this question in an email to Pastor David.

Easter Flowers
ChristChurch has been invited to participate in Easter flowers at Shepherd of the Valley. If you would like to give flowers for Easter in memory of someone, please send an email to Pastor David. Please have memorial information to Pastor by Wednesday, April 13.

There are 2 ways to donate flowers:

Purchase the flowers on your own and bring them to Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church on Friday, April 15 in time for Easter.

OR

Donate funds to go toward purchasing flowers. Send a check with "Flower Fund" in the memo line and Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church will use that money to purchase flowers for Easter. Make your check out to Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 17625 NW Cornell Rd, Beaverton, OR 97006.
Reconciling in Christ Team
monthly meeting
Thursday, April 7 @ 6:30pm.
There will be no RIC Sunday in April due to Easter. But there are still ways to get involved. We are planning a Reconciling Sunday Worship Service at ChristChurch sometime in June (near our RIC Anniversary). We will use our next few first Thursday evening meetings to plan that event.
If you have questions or would like to get more involved please email Sallie Bullock.
