Online Interactive Worship with
Holy Communion

Online Worship Logistics:
- The online doors to our Zoom worship will open at 9:00am.
- From 9am to 9:30am, the worship space will be open for folks to gather and get settled in. Our worship service will begin at 9:30am.
- Holy Communion is part of our online worship. We encourage you to prepare by putting together your own communion set from whatever you have handy in your kitchens and pantries - bread, crackers, tortillas, wine, juice, etc. Please have these items nearby when you join us online.
- Stay for coffee/tea and community fellowship after online worship. ☕

Are you interested in getting a head start on engaging with the scripture texts that form the basis for preaching each Sunday morning in worship?
Join us on Thursday, February 25th, at 7pm, for the next edition of TEXTtalks… a monthly conversation on the texts we hear in worship. Join me and others as we read through the upcoming Bible stories and ask ourselves… what do we notice? what do we wonder about?
In this upcoming session we will discuss the following stories for the month of March, all from the Gospel of Luke:
Luke 15:1-32 The Lost Chapter Mar 7
Luke 16:19-31 The Space Between Mar 14
Luke 18:31-19:10 I Want to See Mar 21
Luke 19:29-44 Even the Stones Mar 28 (Palm Sunday)

The next conversation in our Lenten Series: Brave Space Conversations will be with Jan Wierima (she, her) during worship on Sunday, February 28th.
Jan serves as the Co-Leader for the Oregon Synod Disaster Preparedness and Response Initiatives. We will talk about her work, her passion, and what it means to live faithfully in a dangerous and uncertain world.

Special Congregation Meeting

You are invited to attend (online, via Zoom) a Special Congregational meeting on Sunday, March 14th, at 10:45am. A letter providing full details will be mailed later this week. If you do not receive a letter or need to update your address with the church office email Admin@comchristchurch.org.
The purpose of this meeting is twofold:
2. Congregation members will vote to approve
sending Mark and Inga Henderson as voting members to the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA) Oregon Synod Assembly, which will be held online, April 30th and May 1st, 2021.

What does Sacred Circle do?
We research articles, legislative bills, commentary, and news reports on current events to identify those areas where we might testify, write letters, make phone calls, and other actions that may lead to social justice for all people.
