Online Worship Logistics: 

  • The online doors to our Zoom worship will open at 9:00am. 
  • From 9am to 9:30am, the worship space will be open for folks to gather and get settled in. Our worship service will begin at 9:30am. 
  • Holy Communion is part of our online worship. We encourage you to prepare by putting together your own communion set from whatever you have handy in your kitchens and pantries. Please have these items nearby when you join us online.

Are you interested in getting a head start on engaging with the scripture texts that form the basis for preaching each Sunday morning in worship?


Join us on Thursday, January 28th, at 7pm, for the next edition of TEXTtalks… a monthly conversation on the texts we hear in worship. Join me and others as we read through the upcoming Bible stories and ask ourselves… what do we notice? what do we wonder about?


In this upcoming session we will discuss the following stories for the month of January, all from the Gospel of Luke:

This Sunday, for our RIC Third Sunday conversation, we are pleased to welcome Beach Pace. Beach is the CEO of Big Brothers, Big Sisters Columbia Northwest, a Hillsboro City Council member, and a founding board member of the Westside Queer Resource Center. Beach also happens to be an out lesbian woman living with her family in Hillsboro. 


Beach and Pastor David will have a one-to-one conversation in which, according to Beach, no question is off limits. Do you have a question you have always wanted to ask? Now is your opportunity. If you wish to remain anonymous, you may submit your question to Pastor David via email (pastordavid@comchristchurch.org) by this Friday. You are also invited to simply share your question in the chat during the conversation on Sunday. We hope you will plan to stick around after worship for what promises to be an engaging time.

Reconciling In Christ Annual Sunday Service
Reconciling Works will be celebrating their annual Sunday service with a streamed service over YouTube.
 
The Service will be released on Sunday, January 24th at 7:00 PM PST, so keep an eye on this Facebook event for a link.
 
We are thrilled to welcome our guest preacher, Rev. Kelsey Brown from Jehu's Table - https://jehustable.org/meet-the-pastor
 
While we can't gather in person, we look forward to sharing this service, and give thanks for the many folks will be a part of this celebration of LGBTQIA+ welcome.

Did you know Community of ChristChurch has an online directory? If you need someone's contact information it's a great place to start.

This simple website and app provides us with a private directory website where our members can view contact information.
