Announcements & Updates:
RIC Third Sunday - October 17
The Reconciling in Christ team invites you to join us in a book study later this fall. We will be reading David P. Gushee's book, Changing Our Mind (Definitive 3rd Edition). Your RIC team is listening to you! When we asked you to fill out our survey after we first created the new welcome statement, we asked you what type of education and resources you are wanting and biblical and theological studies on the subject topped the list.

We are providing a thought-provoking book by a distinguished Christian ethicist, pastor, and author David P. Gushee - Christian Ethicist, Pastor, Author, Advocate on what the bible says about this.

To learn more, we invite you to stick around after Zoom Worship for the 3rd Sunday RIC conversation this Sunday (October 17th) led by Steve Delamarter, Beth Habecker, and Pastor David.

Sacred Circles Fall 2021 Update
We have taken the summer months to review our mission and hone our focus for the coming year. Although Sacred Circles encompass both community service and social justice, we’ve decided to make our focus largely on justice. We will be meeting with local civic leaders, elected politicians, members of the community, people of Faith, and all those interested in creating a livable world for all. By building relationships and understanding, by listening to the marginalized, by interacting with government, we CAN make a difference.

Our local group, which includes members of Community of ChristChurch, friends, neighbors, relatives, coworkers, etc., will be meeting typically on the 4th Thursday of every month from 6:30pm-8:30pm on Zoom. We will use the same Zoom link each month, so add it to your calendar.

Sacred Circles Monthly Meeting
Next meetings: Thursday, October 28
Meeting ID: 962 7514 6119
Passcode: 485512

Sacred Organizing Cohort
There is a second aligned group called Sacred Organizing Cohort which meets on the 3rd Thursday of every month from 6:30-8:30 on Zoom. This is a tri-county gathering to work on the same issues on a larger scale. It isn’t necessary to attend both meetings every month. It's recommended to attend a Sacred Circles meeting first, then attend the Sacred Organizing Cohort. And it isn’t necessary to attend both meetings every month.
Contact Violet Thetford and she will send you the Sacred Organizing Cohort Zoom link.

These groups are open to all genders, ages, and backgrounds. It is a diverse group, and you are welcome!
