There are baby care kit assembly volunteer opportunities this Saturday at 2pm and Sunday during assembly as well. We have a few folks who have signed up to assist and would love to have a few more join us if you are available. Spouses, partners and kids are welcome to come help out too.
Meeting @ 2 PM on Saturday (after the Back 40 workparty) and want to complete the following:
1) set up a row of tables
2) sort the items, count items, and set them up on tables (pull out items that are for under 6 months or over 24 months to be donated to another care organization
3) pin tops and bottoms together that will also work for jammies
4) pin hats to jackets that do not have hoods
5) copy and put a few check lists at each assembly station
6) make signs that indicate the number of each item to pick up for the kit
7) pull out small carrying containers from storage room for those who would like to use them when getting items for kits
8) help cut feet out of any remaining footie jammies
9) pull out packing tape and markers for boxing station
SUNDAY volunteers: who will monitor and provide instruction support at the tables. If you have done this project before, it would be nice to have some seasoned folks assisting to ensure the kits have all needed items and provide instructions for how to pack, fold and pin the kits |
