ECUMENICAL COMMUNITY CHOIR OPPORTUNITY 

FOR GOOD FRIDAY

This Good Friday worship service will include an Ecumenical Community Choir anthem, entitled Pieta by Joseph Martin. Would you like to participate in the choir? If so, you are invited to attend choir rehearsal at Hillsboro First Congregational UCC Church on Wednesday evenings at 7pm between now and Good Friday.

It is with great sadness along with hope in the promise of the resurrection that we inform you that Ginger Pierce died on Wednesday morning in her home. She was surrounded by loved ones, husband Red, daughter Rachel, and her brother Kent and his wife. She died a very peaceful death and now she is free. She was a beloved member of this community and we will miss her.

Please keep Red and Rachel and all of Ginger's family in your prayers as they mourn her death. Red is heading up north to Tacoma to stay with Rachel for a few days.

A memorial service is tentatively scheduled for 1pm on Saturday, April 14th. We will keep you updated if there is a change in plans.

- Released in 1999 it is a coming of age story set in coal mining country. 

- Based on a true story.

- The title of the film is an anagram: if you rearrange the letters of the movie title you can spell the book it is based on.

Bring a friend and come journey to the Cross in a workshop for making pysanky – wax-resist dyed eggs – in the Community of ChristChurch Commons.

You don’t need to bring anything, but wear older clothes in case of any spills or splatters. Children 12 and older may attend if an adult is present to assist them.
