This Sunday we continue, Loving All Our Neighbors Without Limits. During the 6 weeks of the Lenten season, we will be using a curriculum, provided by Family Promise, called Just Neighbors.

This Sunday: Session 2) What Would You Choose

Participants will take part in an activity designed to highlight the difficult choices people who live below the poverty line have to face every day.

Next Sunday: Session 3) Does Working Work?

We’ll look at the changing trends in employment and wages that have led to an increased number of ‘working poor.’

Interactive Prayer Cross - Prayers for the Journey

At our Ash Wednesday Worship Service we introduced a visual element into our communal worship and prayer life.

Throughout the season of Lent it will serve as a living, growing work of art, composed of the hopes, fears, thanksgivings and dreams of our people.

We are calling it an Interactive Prayer Cross.

Each week worship attendees will be invited to add their prayers to the cross. As it grows in color and design it will serve as a symbol for our ongoing conversations with God as individuals, families and as a community of faith. Join us on Sunday mornings or stop by the church during office hours and add your prayers to those of the congregation.

Join us at Community of ChristChurch on Friday evening, March 31st, beginning at 6:30pm, for the sixth event in a series entitled, Movies that Matter. Our five other movie viewings have been a good community building experience.

Each month we will gather for a potluck supper and watch a film that matters to one of the group. Then, the person who picked the film will start off the conversation. If all goes well, we’ll talk a little about the film, a little about life, and a lot about what matters. This month Rhonda has chosen a movie that matters to her.

Copyright rules stipulate that we cannot advertise the name of the film in advance, but here's a few hints… 1996 indie, Melodrama starring Ellen Burstyn and Won the Sundance Film Festival Audience Award: U.S Dramatic.

RSVP here!

Hope to see you there!
