Update from the Pads for Progress

The packaging event on May 13th at ChristChurch was a great success. The Girl Scout Troop members were able to provide PERIOD with over 500 monthly care packages for women in need! Thank you to everyone that donated.

Please join us for our final work party before the Village Building Convergence (VBC) in June. Full details on the VBC are further down this email. Possible activities THIS Saturday may include:

• Finish preparing for the fruiting hedge (fedge)
• Trim up the tree canopy in the gathering space
• Sowing the cover crop
• Spreading straw over the cover crop (we need 3 bales of straw!)
• Creating raised beds out of donated pallets

Our designer Julian will be sharing what permaculture is, why he chose certain aspects for our design and answering questions.
We will provide a continental breakfast, you bring a sack lunch.
