Don't forget to make your Fall Fundraising campaign donation to benefit the school! The suggested donation is $125 per student but any amount is very much appreciated. Pay online through the school directory or send via backpack mail.

Have you paid your PTA dues? It's not too late. Help support the Parent Teacher Association and get access to the Corinth Directory.

Have a great week!

PTA Reflections

Do you enjoy art, music or dance?  Do you have an interest in writing, producing films or taking photos? If so, join us and have fun unleashing your inner artist with PTA Reflections! This year’s theme, “Heroes Around Me,” calls for your own unique interpretation through the arts. Pick up submission guidelines and an entry form today from the office and return entries by Oct. 15th.  For inspiration, visit the Reflections virtual art gallery and learn more about prizes and scholarships at  PTA.org/Reflections. Please contact Cortney Dougherty at  sodoughe@smsd.org with any questions.

Veteran's Day Assembly

Honor a Veteran or Serviceperson and thank them for their service! If you know a Military Hero, we encourage you to invite them to attend the Corinth All School Assembly on November 7th at 1pm and stay for a reception afterwards in the cafeteria.
In addition, we want to decorate our halls in appreciation of their service. Create a half size poster board (14x22) that includes pictures, Hero name and Military branch and bring to the office by Thursday, November 1.  Don’t know a Military Hero?  Create your own poster that honors all heroes!  Feel free to pick up poster board from the office too!  More details in the attached flyer.  Questions?  Contact  Lindsay Peattie.

Fall Staff Lunch

Thank you to the following, who donated all the yummy food items for the Staff’s Fall Lunch!  The teachers enjoyed it and had a healthy but yummy lunch!  Without your help, we would not have been able to pull it off!

Valorie Coffland, Ali Bunten, Jessica Klocke, Jenne Bryant, Jennifer Dierks, Elizabeth Chilcote, Megan Grossman, Heidi Atlas, Megan Barbre, Becky McElduff, Jessica Felton, Lindsay Peattie, Jami Woods, Mandy Starr, Jill Jolicoeur, Natalie Frank, Katie Maupin and Joanie Beaulieu

2019 Corinth Auction

Donate. Donate. Donate.
The Corinth Auction relies on donations to make it successful.  While we have a donations committee that is busy at work contacting local companies and filling out online forms to gather as many donations as possible - we also need YOUR help!  Do you have a timeshare that you’d be willing to part with for any given set of time? What about airline miles? Or, do you have season tickets to one of KC’s favorite sports teams that you could share 2 or 4 tickets to a specific game?  Or, do you have any connections for any local (or out of state) experiences that could be bid on auction night? If so, contact Elizabeth Chilcote, Jen Anast or Sarah MacKay to make your donation today! Did we also mention that all donations are tax deductible and all funds raised go back to support programs at Corinth that YOUR kiddo will benefit from!

Fall Box Tops for Education Drive (Now-October 26th)

Our fall collection for Box Tops for Education is going great, so please keep those Box Tops coming! As a reminder, the class with the highest participation by October 26th receives an extra recess from Mr. Lowe.  Current standings are as follows:

Molteni and Boeschen--Tied for 1st Place
Roberts, Leaders, and Terlouw--Tied for 2nd Place just one student behind the 1st place classrooms.
Also, there will be a drawing for a $5 Target gift card for someone in each grade. Kindergarten Classes--Where are you? We need you in the mix!
To date, I have counted up about $200 worth of box tops (free money) for the school, so keep clipping! Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks! Jill Fraley ( jillfraley@gmail.com)

Skating Parties

Mark your calendars for the annual Skating Parties at Skate City. Proceeds to be donated to the Corinth Elementary PTA.

By joining the Corinth PTA, you are also joining Kansas PTA and National PTA, and aligning yourself with the largest children’s advocacy group in the country.

PTA membership will provide you with full access to the Corinth directory.

Please remember to update your student’s teacher information when you pay your dues.

Thank you!

New Families

Are you new to the Corinth Elementary community? Do you need help figuring out what a Dragon Dad is or how to navigate the car line? It isn't always easy learning the acronyms used at a new school or where you can turn to for information. We've tried to make it easier for our new families by giving you a contact. Mandy Starr will help answer your questions or point you in the right direction when she can't.
