Makerspace Update
Our PTA is committed to continuing the growth for our students and teachers in the Makerspace. We have partnered with STEAM Studio (
http://steam-studio.com) and will be providing an on-site experience for each individual classroom at the STEAM Studio in Westport, located in the Gould Evans Architecture Firm. While the students are on site they will be emerged in STEAM activities based on a connection to individual SMSD classroom curriculum and real world application of Design Thinking. The students will be engaged in hands-on, meaningful activities and our teachers will have the opportunity to see it all in action and get ideas for things they can do in their classrooms here at Corinth Elementary! Our PTA will continue to allocate funds to support our teachers and their professional development in this area. Please take a minute to check out the link above and see all the amazing things STEAM Studio is doing for education in our community!!!

Winter Box Tops for Education Drive
(Now--February 25th)
It’s time to start turning in Box Tops for Education! This is a super easy way to help the Corinth Community. Simply look for the Box Tops for Education coupon on the products you use, clip it, and put it in a ziploc bag. Send the bag to the Corinth Office with the name of your child, grade and teacher. The class with the highest participation by February 25th wins an extra recess from Mr. Lowe. Also, all students who bring in any number of Box Tops will be entered for a drawing for a $10 Foo's Gift Card. We will select three winners!
Box Tops is also a great way that grandparents and other family members can support our kids, so be sure to ask others if they can help, too. If you miss turning in your Box Tops by the February 25th deadline, do not worry! We will count any late arrivals toward next year's drive. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Jill Fraley at
jillfraley@gmail.com.
