Week of February 21 - February 24, 2017
Hello Corinth Families!

Spring is right around the corner, and we have a bunch of upcoming spring PTA events that you do not want to miss. The auction is less than 2 weeks away! Spirit Week will be the week of February 27-March 3. Dragon Dash (April 29) registration is now open. Health and Science Night is coming March 23. Father/daughter (April 7) and mother/son (April 21) dances have announced their dates. The annual golf tournament is May 1. In addition, more restaurant/shopping nights are coming. Check your calendars!

Your to-do list for this week:
  • Go to Bidpal to preview auction items & mark your favorites. Watch the video to see how to use Bidpal!
  • Volunteers still needed for the auction. See below for how you can help.
  • The last call to become a "Friend of Corinth" (and get early bidding on the auction parties) is February 26.
  • Dragon Dash registration is now open. Mark your calendar for April 29th and register through the site below!
  • Can you help at Health and Science night?
Thanks!

CORINTH BENEFIT AUCTION,
presented by Country Club Bank

View Silent and Live Items
Be sure to check out over 800 silent and live auction items available for bid at the March 4th event! Go here and click on Shop Items. Check out the live items, parties, Teacher Treats, Classroom Treasures and more!

  • Watch this video to answer any questions you may have and provide you with a tutorial for the night of the event.
  • If you want to keep track of certain items, create your own personal Watch List to monitor quickly at the auction.
  • And, if you really want to win something, set a Max Bid. You will enter the maximum amount you will pay to win the item, and the BidPal application will automatically bid for you in the next increment if you’ve been outbid, up to your maximum amount. No need to keep placing bids, enjoy friends and let BidPal do the bidding for you!
  • Bidding on SILENT auction items will open by 8 a.m. on March 4th. If you have purchased a ticket, you will receive a text early Saturday morning with a link to access the silent auction items and begin placing your bids. This will be a great opportunity to get a jump start on bidding and placing your max bids, so you can enjoy the party later that evening. But don’t worry, you’ll be notified if you’re ever outbid and can rebid until the silent auction closes.
  • New for 2017: the silent auction will close AFTER the live auction. You will have 15 minutes after the live auction ends to wrap up all bids on items in the silent auction, giving you just a bit more time to win everything you want!

Teacher Treats
Pre-order yours now win a chance at enjoying one-on-one time with your favorite Corinth teacher or staff. The raffle-style drawing is $5/ticket or $25 for six tickets. Winners will be chosen through a random drawing before the live auction. You do not need to be present to win. Stay tuned this week for the order form and menu of items on Facebook, a peach jar email, and back pack mail.

Tickets remain for the auction with an increase by $10 per ticket. Go here to buy yours today!

Volunteers
The auction wouldn't be possible without volunteers. Whether you have a kindergarten, 6th grade or any age of Dragon, please consider helping out! Here are three simple ways:

  • Make a meal for Meals on Wheels: this live auction item provides dinner to the winner every week during the 2017/18 school year, but we need cooks! Simply pick a date and make two of what you're eating that night. username: Corinth, password:Dragons2016 Sign up here.
  • Volunteers are needed the day of the auction to transport items from Leawood to Milburn Country Club, set up décor, assist with check-in and check-out, etc. Sign up here.
  • We are excited to again offer a 6 months of date night package as one of our live auction items this year. To make this even better, we offer the winning bidder options for babysitters. We are looking for 6-12 Dragons or former Dragons who would be willing to volunteer their time. If you feel more comfortable signing up with a friend, please do. This would entail 3-4 hours of babysitting on a mutually agreed upon date with the winner. Sign up here.

LAST CALL – Friend of Corinth Donors
Act now! February 26th is the last day you can become a Friend of Corinth and receive the early party bidding option. Sponsor the auction for just $100 and receive early party bidding before open to other bidders. With your tax-deductible donation of $100, you will be granted early access to the parent and kids parties offered through the auction. These unique, limited attendee parties always sell out so be sure to become a Friend of Corinth for VIP access to parties. Contact Erin Herbst to become a donor.

Auction Spirit Week is next week, Feb. 27 – March 3, and we have a fun lineup planned to get our Dragons excited about one of the largest fundraisers for Corinth!

  • Monday: Ranch Dressing – Dress like a Cowboy/Western
  • Tuesday: Caesar Dressing– Dress Greek/Toga Tuesday
  • Wednesday: Thousand Island Dressing– Dress in Island Attire
  • Thursday: Blue Cheese Dressing – Dress in Blue/Black/Gray for SME
  • Friday: House Dressing – Wear Corinth spirit wear
