Week of May 9-13, 2016
Hello Corinth Families!

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms!

On Friday, Corinth will have its First Annual Mother/Son party. We hope all the boys will attend with their mom, relative, or special adult. This is also a great opportunity for dads or parents of girls to volunteer.

Have a great week! I hope to see you at Papa Keno's on Monday night!

Erin Herbst
PTA President
1. Volunteer for the Mother-Son Dance! It's Friday Night!

Please help us bring Neon Nights to life! We are in need of both volunteers the day of the dance and helping hands to supply some of the treats and necessary items for the dance. We'd like to especially encourage Moms of girls only and all dads to volunteer for any spot the day/evening of the event. This will allow the moms attending the dance to enjoy the evening with their son(s). We appreciate all of the help and support our wonderful Corinth community can give!! Contact Debra Rettenmeier for more information.

2. Monday: Join us at Papa Keno's for Corinth Night, 5-9 p.m.

Don't cook - grab a slice "as big as your face" instead! Join us for pizza and support Corinth. Papa Keno's in Downtown Overland Park (7901 Santa Fe Drive) will donate 20% of all sales between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. to Corinth!

Papa Keno's in Downtown Overland Park is owned by Corinth dad, Philippe Lechevin, who is a constant supporter of our school. He'll also be donating pizzas for the Dragon Dash pledge drive winning classes!

Dragons Give Back‼️

Please help us grant these wishes (and more!) to help make a better and easier year for next year's staff. Our wish list has GROWN from last week! Please review the wish list, pick an item, make the purchase and grant a wish! Pick, purchase, grant- it's a quick, easy way to put a smile on a teacher's face! . Please click the link below. 3.This Summer:

IMPORTANT: Fall Fest Chair Needed!

Does your family enjoy the Corinth Fall Fest? We are so grateful for their work in the past years, but our chairs are stepping down. They will continue to provide support and guidance, and all the details are in place; we just need a leader (or two) in order to keep this event alive! We must fill this role before the end of this school year!

While Fall Fest is still a while away (September 23), we want to make sure that it continues to be one the most fun and anticipated events at Corinth. If you are interested in chairing or volunteering on the committee, please contact Amy McCarthy.

As we are wrapping up this school year, it is time to start thinking about School Supplies for the 2016-2017 school year! Make back to school shopping easy on yourself and fill out your order form today! Your purchase will go towards Tall Oaks. It's simple... fill out the order form that will be coming home via backpack mail and return it by Friday, May 20th. Make your checks payable to: CORINTH PTA - TALL OAKS. Or, you can order securely online until June 19th. Go to the EPI WEBSITE. Enter the school ID COR026 (3 letters/3 numbers). Follow the directions to complete your order and print your online confirmation as a receipt. Everything will be ready for you to pick up in early August before school starts!!!

For more information, contact Bridget Hoffman .
Notice of General PTA Meeting

Please join us on Monday, May 23, at 8 a.m. in the Cafeteria (before the Talent Show), for a brief General Meeting, so that we may:

2. Approve the use of PTA funds for the Corinth Maker Space; and
3. Approve the amendment of the Corinth PTA Standing Rules to a) define the formula for collecting PTA dues, and b) refine the structure of the Board to reflect the current needs of the PTA.

End of Year Medication/Supplies Procedure

In preparation for the closing of the school year, we need to make arrangements for the safe return of any medication/supplies you sent to school this year with your student. Please be advised that we will send inhalers, epi pens, and over-the-counter meds home with students on the last day of school, May 23. (Kindergarten meds will be sent home Fri. May 20).

Please complete and return this medication return form so we can comply with your instructions. If we do not receive this form back from you, we will assume you do not want the medication/supplies returned and it will be disposed of on the last day of school.

Thank you for your help in keeping our students safe.
