Your Corinth PTA Newsletter
Week of May 16-20, 2016
Hello Corinth Families!

Congratulations on another successful school year! And congratulations to all the 6th Grade graduates!

I have truly enjoyed being your PTA President this year, and am excited for Amy McCarthy, who will be taking over the reins. I have also enjoyed writing these weekly emails, and I thank you for reading them. One of my major goals this year was communication, and with the terrific help of Trisha Sims keeping us all updated on Facebook, I hope we accomplished that.

I am also extremely thankful for the dedicated PTA Board with whom I had the privilege to lead this year. Of course, we could only have been so successful with all your donations, and those from the community, and with the help of the hundreds of volunteers, the teachers and staff. And I am especially grateful for Sheryl Huerter and Karen McGuire in the front office. We wish Karen a wonderful retirement. And we wish Mrs. Urban and her family all the best in Texas. But most of all, we are all so lucky to have Mr. Lowe!

Your Corinth PTA is a very special one. All children should have received their yearbook, which is provided to each Dragon with PTA funds. Our PTA also funds all field trips, among many other school activities. If you would like to be involved in next year's PTA, please contact Amy McCarthy.

Have a great last day of school, and a wonderful summer!

Erin Herbst
PTA President
TO DO THIS WEEK:
1. Monday: Attend the General PTA Meeting

Please join us on Monday, May 23, at 8 a.m. in the Cafeteria (before the Talent Show), for a brief General Meeting, so that we may:

1. Vote in the PTA Board for 2016-17;
2. Approve the use of PTA funds for the Corinth Maker Space; and
3. Approve the amendment of the Corinth PTA Standing Rules to a) define the formula for collecting PTA dues, and b) refine the structure of the Board to reflect the current needs of the PTA.
2. Monday: Corinth Variety Show @ 8:30 a.m.

We know our Dragons are talented, but wait until you see them all in action in the Gym on Monday morning!
3. Reminder to all PTA Committees:

Please submit any outstanding PTA reimbursements or invoices as soon as possible, and before the last day of school to the PTA Treasurer.

Please use this Reimbursement Form. Hard copies are also available in the Corinth Office in the PTA Treasurer's mailbox.
