PTA NEWS
Culver's Restaurant Night!
This Tuesday, September 13, come to Culver's at 7953 State Line Road between 5 and 8 pm. Culver's is donating 10% of all sales from 5-8 to Corinth! Be sure to sign in during your visit. If your grade has the most students, your entire grade will receive a coupon for free custard. See this flyer for more information.
Corinth Fall Running Club

Is your child interested in running? Corinth will be kicking off our fall running club for all grades starting next week! Join us each Tuesday immediately after school for 6 weeks (September 20 - October 25). We'll meet in the gym, get a few stretches in, and then head to the track to do some laps. Please send your child with tennis shoes & a water bottle. Each participating child must have a permission slip, which can be downloaded here. We look forward to running with you! Any questions, please contact Betsy Ballard.

WALKING SCHOOL BUS IS COMING!

See here for video on what the walking school bus actually is!

For information about our walking school bus program and if you’d like to volunteer to be a parent escort on Walking Wednesdays, please click on this sign up genius link:

For questions about walking school bus, contact Nicole Harris, this year’s PTA Walking School Bus Chair via email or at (816) 665-3095

6th grade parents: Anyone interested in serving as Walking School Bus co-chair? Since many of our 6th graders volunteer at the walking school bus meeting sites and at school, we need a representative from that grade level. Just a little bit of your time is needed on the 4 walking Wednesdays: Sept. 21, 28, and Oct. 5, 12. Nurse Albert would greatly appreciate it!

DIRECTORY

Please update the directory! Remember you can choose what information to include, even if it is just your child's teacher and/or an email contact. We will be printing a hard copy of the directory this month, for those who ordered it. The deadline to update your information is Friday, September 16 to make the printed directory. Also, if you ordered the directory/joined PTA and chose to pay by check, please remember to send that in to the office. If you have any questions or problems, contact Scott William.
FALL FEST
2016 Corinth Fall Fest
Please Donate!
K-4th grade families: Please bring a small cake, cupcakes, or cookies for the cake walk. Cupcakes and cookies should be packaged in groups of 6.
5th-6th grade families: Please bring a bag of individually wrapped candies for prizes.

Donations need to be turned in to the office by the morning of September 23rd.

Box Tops!
It's time to send in your Box Tops again!! I know many of you may ignore this information believing it to be too much trouble or just too confusing. But, did you know that last year we earned close to $1000 for our school?! Just imagine, if only 20 more families began collecting and donating box tops we could surely reach and exceed our goal!! It's easy to do and really does make a difference. If you haven't collected before, think about starting today!
Deadline for submission is Friday, September 23rd. The top 2 classes with the most Box Tops submitted will win a class party to celebrate a job well done!

Collecting Box Tops is an easy way to help your school and your child(ren) win a class party. Encourage grandparents and other family members to help!
Send collected Box Tops to school with your child anytime on or before September 23. Please be sure to label them with your child's teacher and grade.
Thank you so much for all of your help!

MATCHING DONATIONS

Keep in mind that many generous companies offer a matching gift/donation program that either match dollar for dollar or a % of the total if the donation is to a 501(c)(3) organization and that organization can provide a receipt. Our Corinth PTA qualifies, and we can provide a receipt for you! Please consider taking advantage of these programs and increase the impact of your donations to the Corinth PTA. To request a receipt or ask questions, contact Sarah Casey.
