Cortex aglow - a drive thru wintertime light display

See the Cortex Commons aglow from November 22 – January 7 as we celebrate the holiday season in St. Louis. This winter-themed photo opp offers lighted snowflakes, including one over 12 feet in height and illuminated trees in this easy-access environment along Boyle between Clayton and Forest Park Avenues. Drive by or stop for a selfie with the snowflakes to remember the season.

Affordable Christmas

Join CIC on Sarah residents, 1904labs in supporting Mission: St. Louis' Affordable Christmas program. Now through December 1 you can drop new toys at collection boxes at 20 S. Sarah, 4240 Duncan and 4220 Duncan.  


You will also be able to donate new and clean used coats, hats, gloves, scarves and blankets for St. Patrick Center now thru - February at the same locations.


Affordable Christmas is a holiday event that allows families from under-resourced communities to provide Christmas for their children. Families can shop for gifts at drastically reduced prices at our Affordable Christmas store. In 2023, the event provided new toys to over 1,750 children in the St. Louis.

Winter Soiree & Market
Join Venture Café, CIC and Cortex for the annual Winter Soiree on December 14 from 4-7pm. Food and drinks will be available as well as an opportunity to shop from STL entrepreneurs! 
NEXT Missouri Policy Agenda Survey
The 2024 legislative session is just around the corner and NEXT Missouri is gearing up to advocate for policies that will boost entrepreneurship and new business growth in our state.
Our initial policy priorities include robust funding for the Missouri Technology Corporation and the creation of an angel tax credit to help increase access to capital for new businesses in Missouri.
What else should be on our agenda? Let us know what other issues NEXT Missouri should advocate for by completing our short survey.
Virtual Public Workshop
Want to share your input and get involved with the update to the Strategic Land Use Plan (SLUP) of the St. Louis Comprehensive Plan? The Strategic Land Use Plan sets out a vision for how we can best use the land in our city, block by block, to guide future development.

November 27th, 6:30 p.m. join a virtual version of the interactive workshop to share your experiences about areas in St. Louis that work well and areas that have potential. There will be a brief presentation introducing the project, followed by small group interactive activities. Closed captioning will be available. Space is limited to 50 participants. Ongoing Construction at Goodwill Building

Demolition is ongoing at the Goodwill building located at 4140 Forest Park Ave. Subscribe to Cortex's Notification System, RAVE, for more detailed updates on the project and it's impact on the District. Subscribe here. 


Cortex 1- Parking Lot Gate Project

Weather permitting, the parking lot gate project will begin on Monday, October 23rd. The entrances from Boyle and Duncan will be closed (gates 1 and 3). These entrances will reopen Monday, November 6th and the entrances from Forest Park and Boyle (gates 2 and 4) will be closed until Monday, November 20th. We ask that all employees be cautious of the parking lot work and remain at a safe distance at all times. Please also inform any guests of this work before their visit.
