We Are Cortex

Cortex is proud to introduce our 2024 We Are Cortex campaign, beginning with 27 banners displayed along Boyle Avenue.   We invite you to come meet and celebrate these featured Cortex colleagues at a lunch meet and greet on March 5, 2024, as we feature some of their businesses, as well as introduce you to the full CIC Social Impact Cohort. RSVP for lunch here.

Cortex is made up of a dynamic variety of services, research, resources, and most importantly, people! If you have a stellar colleague working in the District who you think is deserving of a little extra recognition – and would agree to be one of our next banner models – let us know who they are! Here’s a link to nominate them for the We Are Cortex campaign!

District Updates

Support Your Cortex Neighbor- Seeking Donations for Fire Relief

On Wednesday, January 24, the Salvation Army warehouse located at 3949 Forest Park Ave was impacted by a fire in their donation warehouse. While no residents were harmed, the organization did suffer loss in both goods and infrastructure of their facility. The Salvation Army serves as a both a rehabilitation center and a residential community while supporting the retail thrift store located within the footprint of the Cortex District.

Cortex is encouraging support for the Salvation Army’s recovery by members of the District in the following ways:

  • A focused donation drive for clothing and other small household items for the next 2 weeks. These donations can be dropped at The Salvation Army Rehabilitation Center loading dock at 3949 Forest Park Ave
  • Cash donations can also be made directly to the Salvation Army via The Salvation Army, 1130 Hampton Ave, St Louis 63139 with a memo to the check may be added simply saying “Fire”.

Thank you for your support and contribution to building back this important community service after this incident.
