Programs
Art installation near BJC @ Commons building, 4249 Clayton Ave:
Set to run through August 23, Fields + Frames is a set of temporary public art installations designed and fabricated by students from the College of Architecture at the WashU Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts. Building on the innovative and creative spirit of the Cortex Community, the students created experimental works combining a field of ceramic 3D printed "bricks" and an exploration of the architectural frame that structures the artwork. The works reference the social, historical, and cultural contexts of the Cortex Innovation District through their forms, materials, colors, and textures. The installations were generously funded by the Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts and the Office of Socially Engaged Practice.
