Aerial Portraits As A Niche Business

Sky diving is a big, growing sport and business. A tandem jump
will cost an adventurer about $250. About 3.2 million skydives take place in the U.S. every year.

For many people a skydive is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. So, they'll pay a lot more than the cost of their dive to have a framed enlargement of their jump hanging in their home.

Obviously, jumping from airplanes is not for every pro photographer.

But, recording special life experiences, whether on the ground, underwater or in unique settings can be very profitable for photographers capable of participating in these high-adventure activities.

The key to making dollars as a pro is not just in taking photos for people to post on Facebook. It's in providing prints...particularly big ones...that you sell to clients in your packages.

Ralph is able to charge a premium for his photography by providing those big prints as a value added. He's not selling a snapshot. He is providing a lasting memory of a life event...and people will pay for that.

Ralph chooses us to do his printing because our

16" x 20" - 20" x 30" enlargements are significantly sharper than
prints from other pro labs. We give Ralph brilliant, accurate color
that puts a powerful "Wow" factor in all of his prints.

Why Our Prints Are So Much Sharper
We're one of just two major laboratories in North America using a
Durst Theta Laser Printer.

Other labs use LED (Light Emitting Diode) printers for their big prints.
They use digital sharpening to try to compensate for sharpness
missing in printing. Their LED prints are commercially acceptable. They're just not nearly as sharp as our laser prints.
( Simply Put: Subject edges in LED prints look like they're cut with a butter knife. Our prints look like we use a surgeon's scalpel!
)

If You Want Better Display Enlargements...
Order through our ROES site for pros & advanced amateurs or our iPrints.com consumer site...or visit our laboratory store.
