BOARDING -

Memorial Day weekend is fast approaching and we are down to just a handful of remaining spots. Please do not hesitate to make your reservation by calling today: 630-232-8663.

If you have not received a confirmation email for your existing reservation, please call to confirm and also be sure we have all up to date vaccines in order for your pet to stay with us.  We strive to get every client on to their final fun destination and dislike having to turn away anyone with expired vaccines.

We are so very honored for the awards our kennel wins every year in various categories, and we are proud to be a trusted community favorite for pet owners. This is something we do not take lightly and will continue to aim for every year!

We strive to be as accommodating to our clients and their fur babies as we can, however, we have recently tried to decrease our waiting lists for boarding appointments (and training) by strictly enforcing our no-show and cancellation fees.  To review these on our polices page of our website, please click here:

DAYCARE -

Did you know about DePAW's unique Leveling system for daycare evaluations? When a new dog comes in to our facility for daycare for the first time, they are individually evaluated by our most skilled staff members to determine their temperament. We have three levels:

Level 1: very easy going, plays well with others, know their manners, set boundaries amongst other dogs appropriately

Level 2: usually puppies, dogs that need help learning manners, don't know when to leave another dog alone that doesn't want to play, overly playful

Level 3: a dog that has not been well socialized, needs more help from our daycare referees to navigate relationships with other dogs, may get over stimulated and need time-outs/breaks away from the group

We are one of the only kennels in the area that do not breed discriminate and do not require pets to be neutered or spayed in order to attend. We have one of the most highly skilled and trained staff that undergoes hundreds of hours of shadowing, online courses, and testing to be a certified DePAW Daycare Referee. Safety of all pets is our #1 priority. We even work with local area shelters to help rehabilitate their pets to help give them a better chance at being adopted!

Our goal at DePAW, as the most skilled staff in the industry, is to level down every dog and help rehabilitate their social construct allowing them to come out of their shell in a positive way. It's a beautiful thing to see dogs be "dogs" in the company of other dogs!

DePAW would also like to remind everyone that flea & tick season is here and we require all the furry students who attend our canine campus to be on flea & tick prevention for the health of all who attend our campus. CLIENT APPRECIATION -  The Hart Center

This months client appreciation shout out goes to long time DePAW client, Dr. Melody Hart N.D., Ph.D of The Hart Center in Geneva that focuses on Naturopathy. "Educate. Not Medicate"  is her motto and she would like to share the following info with us on Light Kinesiology:

"The light kinesiology looks for physical and emotional stressors/blockages in the organs, teeth, jaw, structurally as well as bacteria, viruses, candida, staph, and strep then we use the mirrors to remove the blockage.  The mirrors are based on the Compton scattering effect of photons when using the highly polished gold, silver and aluminum mirrors.  (The Compton effect is the scattering of the photon by a charged particle, usually an electron, resulting in a decrease of energy of the photon.  Part of the energy of the photon is transferred to the recoiling electron. ) The Compton effect is important because it demonstrates that light cannot be explained purely as a wave phenomenon.  The interaction between electrons and high energy photons result in electrons being given part of the energy, which allows them to change direction."  - Be Well, Dr. Melody Hart
