Alumni & Friends Update

September 21, 2012

Greetings!

I am honored to be serving as the new executive director of the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation. As an alumna of Leadership Denver's class of 2012, Colorado Experience and Legacy Denver, I have experienced first hand the Leadership Foundation's ability to inspire civic engagement. I also had the opportunity to participate in my first Leadership Exchange program last week when we brought 160 Denver leaders to Austin, and it was exciting to experience first-hand the collaborative spirit that exists in our community.

As I settle into my new role, I want to learn how the Leadership Foundation can continue to add value to alumni and help graduates of our programs in their civic journeys. You will be receiving an alumni survey in the coming weeks that I hope you will complete, and I encourage you to
e-mail me directly if you have thoughts or feedback to share.

I look forward to seeing you on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at our Alumni & Friends Forum event with Dr. Peter Senge!

Sincerely,
Tameka Montgomery

The Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation and the Public Education Business Coalition are proud to invite alumni to join Colorado educators for the 2012 Alumni & Friends Forum: Peter Senge's System Thinking Approach to Education Transformation.

This year’s Alumni & Friends Forum will feature remarks from Dr. Senge followed by a roundtable discussion with Dr. Senge and select educators. Dr. Senge is currently working with a Colorado-based group of K-12 educators, service providers and business leaders on systems change, and this conversation will look at how a systems thinking approach can create the capacity needed to implement education policy initiatives such as the Colorado READ Act.
