"Americans Against Fracking and Pennsylvanians Against Fracking convened the March for Clean Energy, which was endorsed by more than 900 faith, labor, environmental, indigenous, health, political, justice and student organizations from all 50 states, including the Dominican Sisters of Amityville, Blauvelt, Caldwell, Hope, Maryknoll and Sparkill.” |

Racine, WI (July 26, 2016) – From July 26-31, the Dominican Institute for the Arts (DIA) held its 19th annual gathering at the Siena Retreat Center, Racine, Wisconsin. At the assembly, the Spirit of the DIA Award was presented to Barbara Kukala, O.P. and the Fra Angelico Award was presented to Elizabeth Slenker, O.P. Included at the gathering was the election of three new board members for the DIA board. |

Gleason is a moving documentary about Steve Gleason, New Orleans Saints football player who retired in 2009. Steve Gleason received the diagnosis of ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) in 2011, and six weeks after the diagnosis, Gleason learned he was going to be a father. The film was created for Gleason to “record his thoughts to a video camera, so that his child would have something to remember him by.” |
