On August 5, 2017, six women were formally welcomed as Adrian Dominican Associates at a gathering in St. Catherine Chapel at the Adrian Dominican Motherhouse. The new associates are: Laurie Susie; Rev. Cathy Johnson; Joan Ebbitt; Sherry Goff; Barbara Lawrence; and Mary Sweet Rooney. |

On August 2, 2017, the Dominican Sisters of Adrian had the opportunity to learn about the justice issues facing their Sisters in the Philippines. A presentation was given by Sister Antonette Lumbang, OP, Justice Promoter for the Remedies Chapter, on three key justice issues that her nation faces. |

Sister Annette Winter, OP was named “Volunteer of the Year” by RSVP/VIA of Central Kansas. Sister Annette helps with several projects for Catholic Charities and helps at Heartland Farm (ecological ministry of the Dominican Sisters of Peace)—training alpacas, working with the animals, and teaches knitting and crochet classes. |

“Maryknoll Sister, Sister Paulita Hoffman, M.M. celebrated her 103rd birthday on Sunday, August 13th! Sister Paulita entered the Congregation in 1933; she has been a Maryknoll Sister for 84 years! She has spent over 50 years on mission in Taiwan serving in catechetical, social and pastoral work, and helping with the formation of Christian Communities.” |
