'Dominican Sisters of Blauvelt Stand with Muslims, Refugees, and Immigrants'
In February 2017 the Dominican Sisters of Blauvelt “closed their weekend Chapter meeting with a demonstration of solidarity by the sisters and associates with our Muslim, Immigrant, and Refugee sisters and brothers.” Since 2011 the Dominican Sisters of Blauvelt, in collaboration with the Dominican Sisters of Amityville, Caldwell, Hope and Sparkill, have been “committed to support a comprehensive and compassionate immigration law that recognizes the human situation of separated families and the oppressive living conditions that force people to migrate.”

From Friday, March 17 to Saturday, March 18 please join the Dominican sisters for an inside look at religious life. “Dubuque’s Got Sisters,” is an event for “those interested in exploring a call to become a religious Sister. Dubuque-area Sisters will accompany participants and share experiences through praying, dining, and storytelling.”

Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose 'Demonstrate Care of Creation Protecting Habitat and Motorist Safety on California Highway'
The Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose and the Land Trust of Santa Cruz County finalized an environmental easement to protect 173 acres of the sisters’ forested “Marywood” property, west of Highway 17, from development. The agreement protects wildlife and motorists' safety and will connect vital habitat along a busy urban highway via a planned wildlife tunnel under the roadway.
