Dominican Sisters of Adrian: ‘80 People in Dominican Republic Served in Volunteer Dental Clinic’ |

On October 9, 2016, more than 80 people received free dental services in the Dominican Republic. Five Adrian Dominican sisters, along with seven volunteer dentists, a volunteer doctor, and thirteen associates, brought equipment and supplies from the city of Santiago in the middle of the Dominican Republic. The services were sponsored by the Associate Group Antorcha and organized by Dr. Fabiola Reyes, Associate. |

On October 15, 2016, Sister Jeanne O’Laughlin, O.P. was presented the Community Service Award during the Peace and Dialogue Dinner held in the Kovens Conference Center at Florida International University. Sister Jeanne received the award for her work with refugees during her years of service as President of Barry University from 1981 to 2004. |

On October 24, 2016, the Master of the Order of Preachers, Fr. Bruno Cadoré, O.P., along with Fr. Orlando Rueda Acevedo, O.P. (Socius for the Apostolic Life) and Fr. Dominic Izzo, O.P. (Socius for the U.S.), visited the Dominican Family in San Antonio, Texas. The visit included vespers and reception held at Saint Stephen’s Parish. |
