Notes of WISDOM... for the week of: JULY 8th, 2012

What fulfills you, allowing you to easily feel your inner happiness is different today then five, ten, or twenty years ago.

-HONOURING YOUR TRUTH-
How well do you really know yourself?

How can you make decisions and choices that honour your happiness, when you don't really know what makes you happy?

As much as you tell yourself you know the answers to these questions: do you really?

What are the things that most fulfill you?  Pretend you could choose the most perfect way to spend an entire day.  What would your ideal day look like?  When do you most feel alive?  Can you be your real self with everyone?  (why or why not?)  What makes your heart skip a beat?  What brings you the greatest joy?

Understanding what in life you value most helps you set in motion your life path.  While your core beliefs and ideals may not change drastically....you might be surprised at what the answers to these questions are today compared with you five or ten years ago.

Only when you know yourself well, can you figure how to live the best possible life.  Since everything is always changing, asking these questions throughout your lifetime helps ensure you are always on the right path.

Begin asking the questions that test your truth.

Truth is the true knowing of your inner nature; it is your self-honesty about what is right and best for you.

Too often we are far down a path that has been decided for us.  When we wake up one day feeling inherently unhappy, wondering why, we might not stop to think that all of our choices up to this moment have created our current life situation.  The 'mid life' crisis we hear about so readily is not a spontaneous and frivalous decision, but rather a panicked state of realization that you can no longer live the life you have been living.

Mid-life crises can be diverted with a constant and regular observance of what you are doing; what do you want to do; what makes you happiest?

And then honouring your truth by following in the direction of your answers.
