Veterans Heal Through Chow Qigong

"I am a veteran, Portsmouth VA- Norfolk Naval Shipyard. I have mild to moderate muscle and joint pain, plus depression. I feel so good right now, but I also feel joyous and calm. I look forward to continuing the exercises, the continued learning and experiences, and also the sharing in such a gracious and respectful community. What a lovely way to live life!" – Shelley

Only recently we launched the first of our Chow Qigong Training programs for veterans in Columbia, Missouri on January 18th. The hugely successful event, sponsored by veterans organizations such as the Truman VA Hospital and the MU Veterans Center took place in the Harry S Truman VA Hospital and attracted over 100 attendees!
We had much success with treating symptoms of PTSD and helping the veterans in the area to be a catalyst for healing!

Launch Chow Qigong Programs for Veterans with your Help!

Help us respond to the need and contribute to a nationwide effort to create Chow Qigong programs for veterans. These programs are geared towards rehabilitation through complementary alternative health. Veterans in the programs will be taught by the best: Grandmaster Dr. Effie Chow who has over 40 years experience running programs all over the world and founding East West Academy of Healing Arts, a nonprofit dedicated to training, clinical treatment, and the dissemination of information on Qigong and Complementary Alternative Medicine.

Chow Qigong involves elements with great benefits to veterans in rehabilitation & wellbeing that include:

  • Creating and maintain a positive mental attitude in individuals
  • Proper nutrition
  • Traditional Chinese Medicine
  • Qigong exercise
  • Silver Thread Five Elements Meditation.
