We are thrilled to report that for the first time in its history, the Eastern Trail has three separate projects in various stages of development. Although these are all “behind the scenes” at this point, they demonstrate the huge amount of public and private support to help us complete this amazing resource. Click here for more information.

16th Annual Maine Lighthouse Ride
What began with a weather forecast of 40 MPH winds and rain, and then forecasted a little rain and high wind, then went to only wind, who knew it would end up being a great day for a Lighthouse Ride. The sun finally came during the afternoon, the wind died down, and the party at the finish line was under way. We thank the 500 participants that attended this year!
The Eastern Trail Alliance netted $70K this year! Thank you to all of our sponsors, volunteers and participants for a great ride!

Autumn to Ale 10K
Another gorgeous Sunday in September welcomed over 60 runners for our 2nd MEND 10K. Thanks to Dr. Tracey and Dr. Victor and a team of devoted trail enthusiasts, this event was a success! Two-year tally for the Eastern Trail - $7200.00!

Maine Marathon
4000 runners and over 800 volunteers participated in the 2019 Maine Marathon. Guess who was one of the two top beneficiaries of the ride?
Yup! The Eastern Trail Alliance.
Thanks to a group of ETA volunteers, we had a great time helping set up, cheering at the Start and Finish line, and of course, accepting a $20,000 check from
Gorham Savings and the Maine Marathon Organization

We also had a chance to cheer on many of our members who participated, especially a dear friend and major donor of the Eastern Trail,
Greg Caiazzo who ran in the ½ Marathon.
Way to go Greg!
To date, the Caiazzo Family has contributed $60,000 to the Eastern Trail
|
|
|
|
|
And while we are on the subject of great news…
The Eastern Trail Alliance received a substantial donation from the
Craig Family Charitable Trust.
Thank you for your $50,000 donation!

Thank you, Tim Lambert, for your years as a Board Member for the ETA. Tim recently stepped down as the Secretary of the board to be able to spend more time with his growing family. Tim and his wife Amy just welcomed their second son in September. The Lamberts have been ETA members for 11 years. Thank you! |

While we were sad to lose Jessica Rice as our Vice President, we welcome Jess as our new Office Manager! Jess brings ETA a marketing background and will begin a membership program in 2020. We are thrilled she has joined us in the ETA office.
