D Hazard and another rider

Finally the weather in Maine is warming up, and our MLR Team is working hard coordinating another successful and fun event!!!

Help the Eastern Trail become GREEN this year D Hazard and another rider

In the past, we have provided PLASTIC bags, filled with paper (maps, coupons, etc.) and other assorted items needed for your ride (pins, ties, etc.)
In 2019, we ask each rider to download the maps onto their phones, or print your own copies at home and bring along with you for the ride.

Go here to download the route maps

Upon rider check in, you will simply receive your registration number, 4 pins, your emergency tag information and a plastic tie to secure it onto your bike and a pair of socks if applicable. We will no longer be providing plastic bags, so please bring your own receptacle to put these items into. Thank you!!!

If you haven’t registered yet, why wait?
Nothing is more exciting than scheduling a vacation in Maine in September! It is one of the most beautiful times of the year here and what a great way to spend time with friends, colleagues, classmates, etc…

One of our favorite riders, D. Hazard, summed it up perfectly - " This is a great event, likely one of the most scenic Century rides in the country and very well run. Best of all it essentially starts and finishes in booming Portland so come for the weekend, ride the MLR and celebrate in style that night with zero guilt."

D. Hazard rides with 12 college classmates each year.
What a terrific idea to stay in touch with good friends!

“On the Left, Coming behind you, Excuse Me, Pardon Me…” You get the idea….
One of the largest complaints we receive on our post event survey, is the lack of cyclist’s etiquette along the ride. We are all in this for fun, to help fundraise for the Eastern Trail, and to return to SMCC with a smile on our face. This is a RIDE not a RACE.
Please treat each other with courtesy and fellowship on the ride.
It can make all the difference in your day.

Happy riders at the Maine Lighthouse Ride
