Meet our new softball coach!
Shawna Juarez
Shawna Juarez is the new head coach of Edmonds CC’s softball team. In addition to playing softball in college, Shawna coached for the Washington LadyHawks 18U Gold Team in Seattle and for the Washington Explosion 18U in Connell, Wash. She was also an assistant coach at Vallivue High School in Caldwell, Idaho, and head coach at Borah High School in Boise. Welcome aboard, Shawna!JFK, BeatlesHistory: 1963 in the spotlight
This fall, take a History class, HIST 255T, that centers on events occurring 50 years ago. The assassination of John Kennedy, the March on Washington, the first Beatles album, and the American debut of James Bond all occurred in one year: 1963. This course will examine the events of that year and how they affected America and the world.

Kristyn Whisman, our dean of corrections education at the Monroe Correctional Complex, is once again competing for the title of America’s Strongest Woman. She’s already won three times! Read about Kristyn in the news:

Prior Learning Assessment
Earn college credit for what you already know and can do. Prior Learning Assessment is a process that can save you time and money by allowing you to demonstrate what you have learned — usually through work, training, and other life experiences — and have that learning assessed for college credit.


EdCAP information Night

EdCAP (Edmonds Career Access Program): EdCAP provides young adults (16-21) with an opportunity to earn a high school diploma in a college environment. Students have the option to explore classes that will give them a jump start toward one of our many professional and technical programs.

John JessopJohn Jessop is the first student representative on Edmonds CC’s Board of Trustees. Appointed by Gov. Jay Inslee, John’s responsibilities as a student trustee — a voting member — are no different than any other trustee, with the exception that he will recuse himself from decisions concerning human resources.
