Boots to Books and Beyond: Edmonds CC First Annual Memorial Day Ceremony and Wreath Laying10 a.m., Wed., May 21 | Black Box Theatre A special recognition of veterans and servicemen and woman is sponsored by the Triton Student Veteran Association. Brown Bag Lecture: Kealoha12:30-1:30 p.m., Thurs., May 22 | Black Box Theatre Kealoha is the first Poet Laureate of Hawai`i. As an internationally acclaimed poet and storyteller, he has performed throughout the world, from the White House to the `Iolani Palace and from Brazil to Switzerland. An Evening with "Between the Lines" featuring Kealoha7:30 p.m., Thurs., May 22 | Black Box Theatre An evening with "Between the Lines" will feature Kealoha, the first Poet Laureate of Hawai`i. Seven Haile, a student, will be opening the evening with two original poems. Edmonds CC's literary and arts magazine, "Between the Lines," publishes quality short fiction, poetry, creative non-fiction, and visual artwork from writers and artists from the college and community. They will share their own works in this unique spoken word visual concert celebrating the release of the 2013 publication. Free and open to the public. STEM Magical Mashup7-8:30 p.m., Fri., May 30 | Black Box Theatre Be amazed! Join us to watch engineering and chemistry students showcase their most magical demonstrations on stage. From robot battles to fireballs, the student presentations will enlighten minds to the wonders of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).
