Get moving for student success at the Edmonds CC 5K Walk and Run
Ready, set, sign up! The Edmonds Community College Foundation will hold its annual 5K Walk and Run on Saturday, Oct. 28, to promote healthy living within our community while raising funds for student success. Join in this community event to help the Foundation fund student scholarships, emergency assistance funds, and innovation grants. Enjoy live music, tasty treats, athletic scrimmages, and student vignettes throughout the course.

Edmonds CC is a national Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education
Kudos to Edmonds CC! The college has been designated a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education by the National Security Agency (NSA) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
“With our recent CAE designation, and our talented faculty and staff, Edmonds CC will continue to keep our cybersecurity offerings in step with the needs of industry and our students, increasing our visibility as a top college for future leaders in the field of cybersecurity,” said Dr. Carey Schroyer, dean of Edmonds CC’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) division.

The
Edmonds CC Community Read — an Arts, Culture, and Civic Engagement program and part of the college's Lecture Series — brings the campus and community together to read one book in order to:
- Build community through a common intellectual experience.
- Promote literacy across the campus and community through the adoption of thoughtful, noteworthy works of literature or scholarship.
- Offer instructors an opportunity to invigorate curriculum with vital issues and great ideas. Enrich the lives of students, employees, and the community of south Snohomish County.

You’re invited! Grand reopening of the Diversity Student Center
We’re excited to reopen the
Diversity Student Center and Game Room from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, in the Triton Student Center in Brier Hall! Come and enjoy live music, refreshments, and giveaways.
The center serves all students, with a focus on ethnically diverse, homeless, female, gay, lesbian, and gender-diverse students. It provides resource assistance, a conversation partner program to help English as a Second language learners, a resource library with items for loan; assistance to club members; and a computer lab with Internet access for students.

Be amazed at Edmonds CC’s Haunted STEM lab
Edmonds CC invites the community to visit the Haunted STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) lab 12-6 p.m., Friday, Oct. 27.
Witness explosive – yet safe – demonstrations and participate in hands-on activities such as 3D ghost printing and laser cutting goblins.
Free and open to the public. All ages welcome. Located in Monroe Hall, 6606 196th St. SW, Lynnwood.
