PACE-IT: Free tuition for five new IT certificates
Edmonds Community College’s new PACE-IT (Progressive Accelerated Certifications for Employment in Information Technology) program offers two new information technology certificates this fall. The first two — offered completely online and 44 credits each — are Technology and Integration Support and Web Developer. Three more certificates — Network Security, Ethical Hacker, and Data Management — will be rolled out during the 2013-2014 academic year.

Popular Mechanics puts spotlight on Washigton Aerospace Training and Research Center
The WATR Center, which opened in 2010 at Paine Field in Everett and is operated by Edmonds CC in partnership with Aerospace Futures Alliance of Washington, was named an innovator in an article titled “Hacking Your Education.” The article touted the WATR Center's Aerospace Assembly Mechanic program as one of the six most creative new paths to great careers.Write on the Sound: Oct. 4-6

Edmonds CC earns national recognition for certificate programs
Edmonds Community College has earned national recognition as one of the top 100 community colleges for producing one-year-certificate graduates for the 2011-2012 academic year. Some of the certificates offered at Edmonds CC that can be completed in a year are Accounting, Basic Office Skills, Baking, Desktop Support Specialist, Event Planning, Hospitality and Tourism, Paralegal, and Pharmacy Technician.
