'Tis the season to be jolly! This is the time to put aside all of our projects and enjoy the preparation of decorating our homes, buying gifts, and just spending time with our family and friends.

I was amazed at how many homes were lit up with holiday decorations by Thanksgiving day, and some of these lights are spectacular! If you want to take your family to see some of the best lights in Houston, check out this website: visithoustontexas.com/things-to-do/houston-lights-up. You may find that your own neighborhood has some of the best lights.

While celebrating the holidays, it is important to take a moment to reflect on the true spirit of the holiday - the season of giving. As the year draws to an end, there are many ways to give back to those less fortunate through food banks, toy drives, or sponsoring a family through your local church. The International Woman’s Assocation is collecting toys for Kid’s Meals at our annual Christmas luncheon on December 16, so feel free to join us, or drop your gift at Energy Realty. We will also organize volunteers in January to deliver meals for Kid’s Meals.

May the Season bring you joy and happiness!

Generally speaking, your housing choices during the late fall are still healthy. October and November are great months to go house hunting. December is usually sparse, market-wise, but if that fits your timeline, you could luck out.  Read More

Nothing is more inviting than a home brimming with greenery, twinkling lights and holiday decorations.

Inviting and Warm
First impressions are important. If you live in a snowy area, make sure walkways are cleared. Do you have late fall leaves littering the ground? Rake them up. Also, make sure the walks and stairs are free of ice. Read More
