Real Views With Sherry Campbell
As the weather cools in Houston, so does the real estate market. From the agents’ perspective, we are seeing price drops all over Houston, and homes sitting on the market longer again. There is no cause for alarm, though, because if a home is priced right and staged properly, it will sell. The real estate professionals will continue to shine, although we all may have to work just a little bit harder.

The rental market is slower than I have seen it in over 10 years. Rental properties are taking 3-4 times longer to lease than they have in recent years. It may take a while for rental inventories to fall back to normal levels with all the new apartments competing as well. Hold off on purchasing rental properties for a while!

All the agents at Energy Realty are trained professionals that can guide you through the tough markets as well as the fast paced ones.
Halloween in the United States
Halloween is usually celebrated amongst family, friends and, sometimes, co-workers. However, some areas hold large community events. Parties and other events may be planned on October 31 or in the weekends before and after this date. Adults may celebrate by watching horror films, holding costume parties or creating haunted houses or graveyards.

Many children dress up in fancy costumes and visit other homes in the neighborhood. At each house, they demand sweets, snacks or a small gift. If they do not get this, they threaten to do some harm to the inhabitants of the house. This is known as playing 'trick-or-treat' and is supposed to happen in a friendly spirit, with no nasty or mean tricks being carried out. However, if your children take part, it is important to accompany them and to check their 'treats' to make sure they are safe to eat or play with. Read More

Natural Elements for Fab Fall Decor
1. Color Blocking
Arrange branches of fall leaves by hue to establish a color-blocking effect. Place one color of leaves so they land on one side of the vase and another color so that they fall to the other side of the vase.

2. Luxe Pumpkins
Bring a little sparkle to natural fall decor. Coat light-color pumpkins with iridescent spray paint, and while the paint is wet, sprinkle iridescent glitter over the pumpkin.

3. Nut Wreath
Branch out from the standard round wreath and try a different shape on your front door. Hot-glue unshelled nuts to a picture frame, leaving a spot at the top for a ribbon. Wrap a coordinating ribbon around the top in a loop to create the wreath hanger. Read More
