Maintenance & Calibration
|
|

Calibration
All test equipment must be calibrated on an annual basis. Calibration ensures that the test results you are measuring are indeed accurate. From Power Meter/Light Sources, OTDR any test and measurement equipment will require calibration. FiberOptic.com will calibrate along with testing the ferrule and connector enfaces to ensure they are not cracked or dirty.
Maintenance
Over time your fusion splicer needs a thorough cleaning, electrodes may need to be cleaned or replaced, cleaver blades rotated, aligned or replaced. Keeping your splicer and cleaver cleaned and calibrated will give better splice results and save you time from re-burns in the field. In addition to regular maintenance, FiberOptic.com also provides equipment repair services should you need them.
Service
Cameras in the splicer can go out of alignment, ferrules can become scratched or even motor problems can occur. FiberOptic.com can repair most fiber optic equipment quickly and get you back on the job. If you need a repair, ask about our rental program. We carry a wide variety of products that we can ship out as soon as you need it.
