Course Spotlight - FiberBase™ Engineer Certification TrainingFiberBase™ Engineer Certification Training (TR-FBE)This three day course provides participants with the training needed to create and maintain a fiber distribution system on a relational database. Students are asked to bring samples of how they currently document their fiber networks to use in lab exercises. On the last day of training students will further develop their skills by building a portion of their long or short haul routes between network structures. Day 1
** LAB! Build pre-determined long haul and short haul rings in a stand-alone database. Students will be able to start with their own standalone database that has imported templates and equipment loaded. Students finish with a simulated deployment of a large fiber ring with smaller inner rings. Each ring will include multiple locations and splice points and at least one route. Day 2
** LAB! Build pre-determined fiber network in a standalone database. Students will build on their own Standalone DB that they started on Day 1. Lab will finish with a Tx and Rx in a head-end, through a splice point and to a customer premise. The head-end will consist of a lineup on a floor space with distribution frames and a termination panel. The splice point will serve as a location to splice two 48 fiber count OSP sheaths together. The customer premise will consist of a transmit and a receive point. Day 3
Day 3 allows students to start to integrate their data into the previously created database. Students build on previously learned skills and workspaces, reports and topology functions are introduced.
