Pastor Alex on Vacation
Pastor Alex will be away on vacation from Friday, June 26 through Wednesday, July 8.. While he's out, we're in good hands:
- Sunday, June 28 — Rev. Harry Kennon will be preaching, with Rev. Jair Serrano joining us to share about the new Southwood Mission.
- Sunday, July 5 — Rev. John Conway will be preaching.
For any emergency pastoral needs during this time, please contact Rev. John Conway.

CFUMC donated 45 hygiene kits and 49 feminine hygiene kits to the Annual Conference UMCOR initiative. Here are the totals reported at Conference:

June One Thing Ministry: VBS Supplies Needed

Volunteers Needed: Bread and Blessings Ministry
Help us share love and nourishment with our neighbors! The Bread and Blessings Ministry is looking for volunteers to help prepare meals on Mondays at Charlottesville First UMC.
Flexible scheduling: Sign up for one or more shifts, or join us just as a one-time volunteer. No experience needed: Chris Roehl will be on-site during your shift to guide and instruct you.

Charlottesville Opera has been housed again at CFUMC this summer and as a thank you, they would like to offer complimentary tickets to this coming weekend’s line up of performances of Cinderella!
The shows are Friday 6/26 at 7pm, Saturday 6/27 at 2pm, and Sunday 6/28 at 2pm. Simply call the Paramount Box Office and tell them you are Charlottesville First United Methodist Church members and request the number of tickets for the desired date. You can then pick them up one hour prior to the performance. Enjoy!

The Charlottesville Clergy Collective continues to hold vigil each week for those impacted by Policy Violence: direct ICE raids against our neighbors as well as the sometimes quiet violence that occurs due to cuts to Medicaid, SNAP, health care and housing assistance.

Join us on Wednesday, July 15, at 6:30 PM for a sunset walk at Riverview Park (1909 Chesapeake St). We will walk a flat, paved portion of the Rivanna Trail.
This out-and-back trail lets you decide your own pace and distance as we connect with the Divine in creation and community.
All ages are welcome. Invite your friends to share in this easy, accessible evening stroll. Afterward, we will gather for ice cream and fellowship at SugarBear Gourmet Ice Cream (1522 E High St).
