Trenton Thunder Will Have Hamilton Field Advantage on Sunday, May 3rd During Team’s Hamilton Day

Forget ‘home field advantage.’ During the Trenton Thunder’s home game on Sunday, May 3rd, the team will enjoy ‘Hamilton’ field advantage.
That is because Sunday, May 3rd is “Hamilton Day” at the Trenton Thunder; and all Hamilton residents can enjoy a reduced ticket price for the afternoon game, against the Akron Rubber Ducks (Cleveland Indian’s AA affiliate), which begins at 1 PM.
Pre-game festivities will include musical performances by Hamilton students, before Mayor Kelly Yaede throws out the first pitch. Additionally, the first 1,000 fans between the ages of 5 and 15 will receive a Mini Boomer Bat giveaway to help celebrate the Trenton Thunder mascot’s birthday. Children will also be able to enjoy the Thunder’s ‘Kid Zone’ for free. Following the game, kids ages 12 and younger can actually step onto the field at Arm and Hammer Park and run the bases.
“Last year’s Hamilton Day at the Trenton Thunder was great, but this year’s game promises to be even better. It is a great way for our community’s families to enjoy an exciting day of professional baseball close to home at an affordable price. Plus, with the special giveaways and activities for our children, it will be a fun day for the entire family,” says Mayor Yaede.
Residents can enjoy a special $11 ticket price (regularly $13) by
1. Logging onto trentonthunder.com
2. Clicking on “Tickets”
3. Entering HAMILTON as the Special Offer Code
4. Selecting the number of tickets and completing the ordering process

"May Flowers" for Moms at this Year’s Azalea Festival May 10th

The saying ‘April showers brings May flowers’ still holds true in Hamilton.

May brings a beloved Mother’s Day tradition – Hamilton’s annual Azalea Festival; and, mothers who visit the historic Sayen House during this year’s celebration will receive a free carnation and a free family photograph, while supplies last.

Hamilton’s Azalea Festival takes place at the beautiful Sayen Botanical Gardens (located at 155 Hughes Drive, Hamilton, NJ 08690) on Sunday, May 10, 2015 (Mother’s Day) from 10 am to 4 pm. The Township festival is supported in part by Doctors Express, an urgent medical care facility located in Hamilton. The popular community event is one of the great family-oriented activities that residents love about Hamilton.

“Our annual Azalea Festival is a great way for families to enjoy Mother’s Day together,” says Hamilton Mayor Kelly Yaede. “There really is something for everyone at this great community celebration – free carnations and family portraits for moms, the blooming flowers and natural beauty that parents, grandparents and couples love, along with crafters, food vendors and musical entertainment for the entire family to enjoy.”

The festival’s location, Sayen Botanical Gardens, features a magnificent display of over 250,000 flowering bulbs, dogwoods, azaleas and rhododendron, along with the township park’s collection of beautifully landscaped walking paths, fountains, bridges, lakes, gazebos and breathtaking scenery.
