Uruguay is perfect for Tannat, a thick-skinned, red variety native to Southwest, France. A great Tannat will have no lack of rich red and black fruit, lots of sweet spice and a hefty structure. Considered one of the most environmentally sustainable countries in the world, Uruguay is also the fourth largest wine producing country in South America.

As the Tannat provides deep bass notes, this Sauvignon Blanc trills along on the upper scales of the register. Five years old but fresh as a daisy, this wine's brilliant straw yellow hue promises the vibrancy and freshness that's about to come. Nose filling notes of citrus, green apple, hints of tropical fruit with subtle herbal undertones. Crisp, refreshing and zesty on the palate with flavors of grapefruit and kiwi with the tiniest initial hint of effervesence and lingering mineral touches. Finishes impressively long, proving once again that light in body does equate to light in flavor.
