Bethel Heights is an iconic Oregon wine estate, founded on an abandoned walnut grove in 1977, now under the direction of the third generation of it's founding family members. The vineyards are geologically complex, organically farmed, subject to Pacific breezes through the Van Duzer Gap providing significant diurnal temperature shifts, leading to an extended ripening period, adding up to grapes with full flavor potential, fully integrated acidity and tannins, giving the resulting wines exquisite balance and structure.

Argentina's Cabernets are vastly underappreciated and undervalued. La Consulta is one of the few designated appellations in Argentina, featuring sandy, alluvial soils as well as high altitude (about 3.500) resulting in intense sunlight as well as extreme diurnal temperature shifts. The wines are deeply colored with intense and vibrant aromatics. Minimal interventionist practices are in play at Altocedro which utilizes old rootstocks, indigenous yeasts, hundred-year-old concrete fermentation tanks. The wines are fined using natural cold temperature stabilization and bottled unfiltered."Dark fruit of plum and black cherry on the nose and palate combined equally with earthy minerality, anise, leather, tobacco, and an almost chewy meaty viscosity.
