Hand harvested from eleven parcels fermented separately in concrete and stainless, with a component of whole-cluster fruit.  The nose shows classic Rhone Syrah aromas of cured meats, pepper and spice, and fresh herbal tones.  The palate reveals hints of red fruits and a streak of violet flowers, ending with a grippy, slightly tannic edge.  Surprisingly light for the region at 12.5% alcohol, this is an old-school, Old-World red wine!

The budwood for this Zinfandel came from the prized 120-year-old Teldeschi clone, a legendary selection from Dry Creek Valley. Bright ruby color is followed by aromas of blueberry, boysenberry, red raspberry, and enticing floral elements. The palate of this Zinfandel is medium bodied, velvety, and smooth with fine tannins, displaying notes of briary red and black fruit. The finish is underscored by notes of vanilla, hints of allspice, excellent natural acidity, and a vibrant finish.

The fruit for this Cabernet emphasizes three clones, from seven separate blocks, with vines from 15 to 30+ years old. Seven individual native fermentations, without any commercial yeast being added, were then racked into 45% new French oak for 18 months.  "This estate-grown wine is a great find and a great value.   Rich black fruits and intricate oak spices form a compelling blend in this well-saturated, deep and complex wine. Moderate to full tannins support blueberries, new leather and ginger flavors that expand on the palate and linger on the finish. It will be best from 2027–2037."
