It's hard to quantify what a mountain wine should taste like, but a good start would be a wine that shows the cold nights and the brilliantly clear and warm sun where the grapes were grown, a wine that has a stony minerality and is vivacious and strong, and that's exactly what Après does. While the wine comes from an old family property in the French Alps, the project is a newer collaboration between two friends in Colorado and Jean-Charles G-Madoux, who farms his alpine vineyards and makes the wine in France, before bottling it with a label inspired by Colorado's 14er's!

Opens with a fresh nose of wild strawberries, red berries and a touch of earth.  The complex palate reveals citrus fruits of lime, grapefruit peel, pomegranate, and even a hint of melon, with a lightly “chalky” minerality. A full, round opening palate gives way to a long juicy finish. This is an expressive, complete rosé which will be a versatile match for a wide variety of cuisine but is delightful on its own; a rock-solid value! 60% Gamay, 40% Mondeuse. Certified organic.
