From the rugged, windswept terrain of Patagonia. The soil type is colluvial-alluvial with limestone. Low organic matter and poor fertility prompts the vines to struggle. “Dusty ruby color. Aromas and flavors of cherry cola, chocolate gelato, pine, and foraged mushrooms with a slightly chewy, crisp, dry light body and a breezy finish with notes of underripe cranberry. A firm, lean and mineral driven Pinot Noir for the table.”

50% Monastrell, 20% Syrah, 20% Merlot, 10% Tempranillo. Aromas of cherry and licorice are complemented by a suggestion of dark chocolate, and a smoky nuance emerges slowly. Spice-tinged red and blue fruit flavors show very good depth as well as vivacity thanks to a spine of juicy acidity. Finishes quite long, with lingering spiciness, gentle tannins and an echo of sweet red fruit. This unpretentious, juicy red will pair well with most any flavorful dish served on the backyard deck. Grilled cheddar burgers with bacon, BBQ brisket or pulled pork and pressed Cajun chicken sandwiches all fit the bill. – Importer

A surfer at heart, Claus Preisinger has been making wine on the north shore of Lake Neusiedl in the Burgenland town of Gols since 2002. He converted the vineyards and winery to biodynamic production in 2006 and vinifies mostly domestic grape varieties such as Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt, Grüner Veltliner and St. Laurent, supplemented by Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc. Claus does not use any cultivated yeast, and only very slight or no dosing of sulphur dioxide. His minimalism and a free spirit are his guiding themes. This dry rosé is 80% Zweigelt, 20% St. Laurent from limestone soils.

"American Highway Reserve was created by Brad Paisley, an American country music singer and songwriter. The initial batch includes bourbon from the 90 barrels that were placed on a 53 foot semi-trailer nicknamed the “Rolling Rickhouse” and driven around the United States to age as part of Paisley’s 2019 tour. The barrels traveled a total of 7,314 miles, journeying from coast to coast and passing through a total of 25 states, at an average temperature of 93.5 degrees. From there, Paisley worked closely with Bardstown Bourbon Company to create the final blend which consisted of 3 year, 13 year, and 15 year barrels to make the initial batch, which yielded a total of 30,000 bottles."
