September full moon walks are full but there's always the waiting list
There is one more full moon herb walk in September, although, technically, it is on the eve of the first of two October full moons. That September 30 walk is booked up now with a waiting list but don't let that stop you from signing up. I offer refunds for cancellations as long as I have time to fill the spaces from the waiting lists. Oftentimes, it happens in the last 24 hours when those who are flexible and attuned to their text messages can move quickly up the list. Click on the walk in the schedule of events above to sign up.
And if you've read this far and want to be sure to go on a full moon walk this year, I just added the Blue Moon Sunset Herb Walk on Friday, October 30, for that second October full moon. |

The delayed return of Christopher Nyerges
The statewide shutdown forced us to cancel Christopher's Spring Forgaging and Survival Workshop but he's coming back. On Saturday, November 7, the famed author and survival expert will lead a Fall Harvesting and Survival Workshop. We'll take a walk and identify edible and medicinal plants, process and eat acorns and black walnuts, and practice making cordage from yucca leaves. You can buy one of his books online in the Herb Walks Shop and have him sign it. Read more and register at this link. |

With the Ojai Herbal Symposium postponed until 2021, here's an alternative. One of our presenters, Professor Emeritus James Adams, recently retired from USC School of Pharmacy, will be speaking on sacred medicines of Ancient America. Visit this link to learn more. |
